The tour, dedicated to the cultural route Via Regia, is based on tactile models of castles, tactile atlases, and a tactile map. The project covers five museum institutions across Rivne, Volyn, and Zhytomyr regions.
Project Objective:
To create an integrated, inclusive, and universal tour for people with visual impairments as well as for sighted visitors. The project aims to promote the cultural route Via Regia, make cultural heritage accessible to everyone, and foster better understanding of the needs of blind and visually impaired people.
Key Project Stages:

Develop sets of tactile models of castles located along the Ukrainian section of the Via Regia route.

Create an integrated tour based on tactile models, maps, and atlases.

Provide training for tour guides using trauma-informed practices.

Develop a methodology for a tour equally accessible to visually impaired and sighted visitors (through the use of blindfolds).

Ensure the accessibility of the tour and deliver inclusive products to five museum institutions in Rivne, Volyn, and Zhytomyr regions.
