Innovative project carried out as part of the program “Lviv Region’s Cultural Heritage: Reloading.” Within the project, the Skeiron team conducted 3D digitization of 16 architectural monuments across Lviv Oblast using drones and laser scanning technology.

Pocket City AR: Lviv Region

Project Goal:


The project aims to preserve and promote Lviv region’s architectural heritage through modern technologies. It is focused on developing effective models of revitalization for historical monuments and raising public awareness of their cultural value.

 

Key Project Stages:

 

  • 3D Digitization of Monuments. The Skeiron team scanned 16 architectural landmarks in Lviv Oblast using drones and a laser scanner. The digitized sites include:

    • Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Komarno

    • Tartakiv Palace

    • Church in Hodovytsia

    • Zvenyhorod Hillfort

    • Brody Castle

    • Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Drohobych

    • Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Bilyi Kamin

    • Stare Selo Castle

    • Dobromyl Town Hall

    • Monastery in Pidkamin

    • Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Isai

    • Pomoriany Castle

    • Hredli Barons’ Manor in Skole

    • Svirzh Castle

    • Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Matkiv

    • Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Shchyrets

  • Creation of AR Postcards. The collected data will be used to create AR postcards, allowing users to view digitized sites “as if in the palm of their hand.

  • Participation in Revitalization Projects. The initiative forms part of “Lviv Region’s Cultural Heritage: Reloading,” which involves developing revitalization plans for 16 monuments by heritage preservation experts.
