Forgottens

Many of Ukraine’s cultural heritage sites — especially lesser-known or “forgotten” ones — are at risk of destruction due to lack of preservation resources or external threats. To ensure they are not lost forever, we are launching a project aimed at the rapid 3D scanning of such landmarks. This initiative will allow us to quickly and accurately document their current state. With the support of our community, we will be able to reach many more neglected sites than our current resources allow.

Project Goal

The primary focus of the project is on architectural heritage sites in Ukraine that are in critical condition. Our goal is to capture them as precise 3D models before it’s too late — preserving them for future generations, research, and potential restoration. This is a long-term initiative dedicated to saving our history.

How It Works

– The project is sustained through the regular support of our Patrons.

– Each month, we analyze the total amount raised by our community and allocate it to the most urgent sites that need to be scanned.

– We perform basic laser scanning (estimated cost: $500–$1500 USD), capturing the site’s current state in detail.

– Once completed, the new 3D model will appear on the SKEIRON Explore platform — and you’ll know your contribution helped preserve it.

How to Get Involved

Become a Patron: Support the project with a recurring contribution. This is direct aid toward funding monthly scans of critically endangered sites.
